For all cyclists who wish to give their bike a unique style, we have the perfect accessory for you with our "Gerald C."! Available in different colours, this retro bike seat has a colour to suit everyone. Made from robust buffalo leather, "Gerald C." is sure to make your bike a real eye-catcher on your next trip. If you want to be stylish whilst out and about, you need to get this unique highlight. Wearing in a leather bike seat To wear in the new leather bike seat, you'll need to give it some time and care. First, the underside of the seat needs to be spread with leather balm. After about 8 hours, it's time to knead the top side of the seat. This is necessary as the leather fibres can become hard due to age or dryness. This kneading can be done with the handle of a hammer or with the hands. After this, the seat needs to be ridden or 30 minutes to an hour (we recommend wearing old trousers for this). Finally, the top side of the seat needs another layer of leather balm, left to work overnight. Any remaining balm can then be wiped off the day after. Repeat this process if necessary. Leather Care A leather bike seat that has already been worn in should be re-balmed every 2-3 months. This will usually be enough to keep your seat well cared for. If the seat is exposed to heavy rain it will need to be re-balmed after drying out completely.
